FAQ

Toronto elevator questions

How much does elevator modernization cost in Toronto?

It depends on the number of cars, stops, the controller and drive being replaced, door equipment and finishes. We give a written, itemized quote after surveying the equipment, and phasing can spread the cost.

Can you take over from our current maintenance company?

Yes. We review your contract's notice period and scope, then plan a handover so coverage is continuous.

Why is our hydraulic elevator slow in winter?

Hydraulic oil thickens in the cold. Unheated machine rooms or pits are a common cause; heating or an oil heater usually fixes it.

What should be in an elevator maintenance contract?

Clear scope (which parts are covered), response times, callback handling, records access, term and price escalation. We'll review yours.

What does a home elevator cost in Toronto?

Price depends on the lift type (hydraulic, machine-room-less, platform), number of stops, shaft construction and finishes. A site visit lets us quote accurately.

Buildings in Toronto

Financial DistrictYonge–EglintonLiberty VillageMidtown

Many buildings in Toronto are reaching the age where controllers and door equipment become the main source of downtime. Planning modernization early, one car at a time, keeps residents moving and spreads the cost.

Cold winters, road salt and grit wear door sills and tracks, and hydraulic cars slow down in unheated spaces.
